Dried Organic Shiitake Mushrooms, whole (bulk)

Prized for centuries in the Orient, the organic shiitake (pronounced she-TAH-keh) mushroom has a hearty flavor and meaty texture. Its Japanese name means "oak mushroom." Shiitakes are valued in Japan for their taste and heralded for their healthful effects.

Organic shiitakes are delicious with baked fish, in omelets or in soups and stir-fry dishes. Try substituting rehydrated organic shiitakes for all or part of the beef in your favorite stroganoff recipe. These mushrooms are certified USDA organic.

Always high quality

As usual they were high quality and something I can trust. For some reason shipment didn’t come smoothly. The package switched from UPS to USPS, and disappeared for a few days. I complained to usps and finally delivered!!!

Best mushrooms ever!

I purchased the 1/2 lb bag of the dried shiitake mushrooms. They are beautiful and reasonably priced. I love that they are USDA organic, and grown, dried and packaged in the US. The mushroom caps are attractive and I like that most of the stem has already been removed. The bag includes good information for storing and rehydrating the mushrooms. The ordering and shipping was very efficient and I received emails throughout the delivery process and to let me know they had arrived. The web site is fun and informative to look at with lots of helpful ideas for using the mushrooms. This is now my go-to source for all things mushrooms.
